Standing Cat (Tyra)
Standing Cat (Tyra) is a video/sculpture hybrid depicting a monstrous standing cat. With video of the cat’s head atop a three-dimensional body, Tyra is both a cohesive animal and a headless beast. In response to a collective fascination with cats on the internet, Tyra is present in the space while simultaneously mediated through video, becoming larger than life so to speak.
Standing Cat (Tyra) was included in Another Cats Show at 356 Mission.
