I’m Glad My Dad Is Tall (I’M NOT REALLY TALL; IT’S RELATIVE) is a collection of correspondence, images, and videos exhibiting a relationship between the artist and her father. Alongside staged photos and videos, the inclusion of father-to-daughter letters acknowledges correspondence as an intimate form of performance. Likewise, the conversation between the father’s materials (letters, charts, contracts) and the daughter’s designated artworks (drawings, staged photographs and videos) considers the parameters that determine a work of art, as well as documentary versus fictional accounts.
